Anthony Rowett, Jr. is a Captain with the Mobile (AL) Fire Rescue Department, where he has served for the past 16 years. He has been in the fire service for 19 years, beginning his career as a firefighter with the Ogdensburg (NJ) Volunteer Fire Department. He holds multiple degrees in Fire Science and Emergency Services Management and is a graduate of the Alabama Smoke Diver course. Anthony is the owner of Port City Fire Training and serves as the President of the National Firefighters Training Foundation. He is a contributing author for several fire service publications, including Fire Engineering, Firehouse, Fire Rescue, Fire Department Training Network, and Firemanship Journal. Anthony has taught at many fire service conferences as well as for individual fire departments across the country. He is also a FDIC H.O.T. instructor and a member of the NFPA 14: Standard for the Installation of Standpipe and Hose Systems Committee. In addition, Anthony is a co-host of the Generation Engine podcast on Fire Engineering Blog Talk Radio.
